Amazon has introduced a new Seller Fulfilled Prime program to meet the needs of retailers who choose not to put their products into Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA). In the past, products were only included in Prime if they were placed into Amazon’s warehouses under their FBA program. However, FBA isn’t always a suitable option – some products are seasonal, some products are heavy or large, and it also means giving control of your stock to Amazon.
We are pleased to announce that The Storage Place has recently been approved by HMRC for The Fulfilment House Due Diligence Scheme.
The scheme was announced by the Government at Budget 2016, and requires all fulfilment houses that service non-UK customers must be part of the scheme and will come into effect from April 2019.
We know on time delivery is one of the most important factors to customer experience, along with the right packaging, but delivery doesn’t just end at the front door. The last impression is the most important so getting the delivery right is essential.
Whether an order has been delivered through the letterbox, handed to your customer at the door, or picked up from a collection point, the customer experience isn’t complete until the item has been opened and is exactly what the customer expected.
Packaging plays a vital role in the customer experience when it comes to e-commerce. Customers expect their parcel to arrive quickly, damage-free and well presented.
Packaging is the very first thing a customer will see before they even interact with your product, so it has to be right.
With that in mind, how can you improve your customer experience?

A customs bonded warehouse is a secure space which allows you to store goods imported from outside of the EU. Import duty and VAT charges are deferred until the goods are sold or removed from the bonded warehouse, which bring many benefits to businesses who import goods.
