Our client, an established B2C internet retailer of gym and fitness equipment, was initially working out of a self-storage centre. After much success, it was decided that they would outsource fulfilment to allow for growth and scalability.
To ensure a smooth transition, our system was fully integrated with the client’s ecommerce website. Orders were then received through the API integrated system where personalised shipping labels are created, stock updated automatically and orders tracked, allowing traceability and transparency for our client.
Clients are able to log into the system at any time, from anywhere and view real-time data such as the status of orders as well as accessing stock and sales reports.
Outsourcing the shipping, warehousing and logistics of the products means that our client can focus their time on other areas of the business such as product development, sales, and marketing while we take care of the rest. It also allowed them to move away from fixed overheads such as premises, rent, light and heat, and instead take advantage of a pay as you go cost structure with The Storage Place.
